Rejuvenation through Education

My resolution for the year ahead is to do something new each month. Sometimes that means something brand new, other times I try to go back to something I’ve tried, but haven’t mastered (looking at you, fried tofu.) I also try to spend some time reconnecting with the things I truly love but that did not get much attention the year before. For 2019, I’m focusing refreshed energy on reading and music.

When I was out Christmas shopping, I spent luxurious hours wandering through Chop Suey Books. I promised myself I’d come back and find some new topics and authors in January. If you’ve never been to this local gem, treat yourself to an afternoon exploring its great collection of new and used books.

One thing that slipped between the cracks in 2018 was hunting for new music. In my pre-real estate career as a therapist, music was an integral part of my practice. It remains one of my great and constant loves, and it’s my number one way to rejuvenate. This year I’m looking forward to a few rounds with Ashley McBryde’s Girl Going Nowhere, and Kacey Musgraves Golden Hour.
