RVA Gifting

While gifts aren’t necessary to show your love, there are plenty of luxurious selections and whimsical treats to offer your sweetie near Valentine’s Day (or any time of year!). Here are a few of my favorites:

St. Hilaire Champagne: This delicious bubbly is rumored to have been a favorite of Thomas Jefferson’s, and at around $15 it is my favorite go-to celebratory bottle that won’t break the bank. Light, crisp, with just the right balance of bubbles, this makes for a perfect toast. You can find it at Kroger and Total Wine. Cheers!

Local Chocolate: Nothing says I love you – and I love local business – like a chocolate treat from one of RVA’s delicious chocolatiers. For the Love of Chocolate in Carytown is not, as its name suggests, merely for chocolate lovers. This is a quirky paradise for anyone with a sweet tooth… you can find fun and funky confections like chocolate bacon, organic and kosher options, and just about every mouthwatering gourmet treat imaginable. Gearharts at Libbie and Grove is another one of my favorites. This family-owned shop specializes in gorgeous artisan chocolates and unique flavor combinations. I’m a fan of the entire artisan selection, but the Earl Grey dark chocolate is not to be missed.

Mongrel: I love Mongrel in Carytown for last minute gifts. Whether you’re looking for a witty card or a unique gift that makes it look like you didn’t wait until the eleventh hour, there’s always something personal and distinctive here.
