The beginning of May marks major festivity just about everywhere… from the global fiesta of Cinco de Mayo to the annual equestrian hallmarks of the Kentucky Derby and Virginia’s own Gold Cup to the most fashionable Monday of the year, there’s no shortage of reasons to party.
Early May is a great time to venture outside of Richmond for a day (or more!) in the sand and surf at Virginia Beach. The annual Virginia Beach Taco Festival kicks off on Saturday, May 4th. This fun festival combines a taco-eating extravaganza with live music, fresh margaritas, and even a specialty tequila tasting tent.
