March It Forward

I love participating in community events and supporting organizations that uplift local causes. Throughout the year, my team and I are intentional about our efforts to give back. March is an especially great month to pay it forward because of the outdoor volunteer opportunities.

Every year, we participate as a team in the incredible festivity of the Monument Avenue 10k. Not only is the 10k a national draw for fitness and fun, it creates opportunities to support our community through fundraising and engagement. You’ll find me volunteering at the start line of the kids’ course. This year, we are adding miles to our March volunteerism by signing up for the SPCA’s Dog Jog with our trusty canines, Taz, Athena, and Milo. Last year’s 5k Dog Jog raised nearly $200,000 and since we are all devoted to our pets, we’re excited to support the lifesaving services that our SPCA chapter supports.

Noah’s Children is collecting ‘hoppy’ Easter baskets for the families that it serves, bringing joy to the children in palliative care and their siblings. It’s a special effort for our team to bring a bit of joy to families who are experiencing hardship away from home.
