Love is in the air! Even if February isn’t your favorite month weather-wise, you’ve got to appreciate the amorous vibe leading up to Valentine’s Day.
Whether or not you’ve got a sweetheart, Valentine’s Day is a reason to celebrate romance… and treat yourself to indulgent chocolates, bubbly, and as many emo movies as you can handle. There’s no better spot in Richmond to assemble a specialty sweets box than For the Love of Chocolate in Carytown. The legendary store’s near-infinite assortment of truffles, toffees, cordials, and candies is abundantly decadent and the staff is expert at crafting customized gifts to please any palate.
It’s no secret that my favorite special occasion beverage is champagne – the perfect way to toast any event.
Saint-Hilaire is a label that I especially adore not only for its flavor and affordability but because it features the world’s oldest known
sparkling wine. And, it was discovered by Virginia’s own beloved Thomas Jefferson in 1794.
Tear-jerker romances are seasonal staples throughout the holidays, but Valentine’s Day has its cinematic lineup. From classics to modern masterpieces, there’s no shortage of hits to add to your watch list. Here are my perennial favorites:
Whether or not you’re coupled up this Valentine’s Day, be sure to treat yourself to some staycation love.
xoxo,
